Hey reader. I know it's been a while, but now I have done things worth posting about. I'm now living on my own and have taken this opportunity to try some new things.
First off, I've been training to do 5ks with my sister and her friends in the fall. They usually walk most of the way, but I want to be able to jog one anyway. I don't want to be the one slowing down the group should they have an ambitious day.
I've been training on the elliptical a lot. I train on them for about an hour three or four days a week. In that time I get about four miles in per session, and I'm pretty happy about that at the moment.
Finally, I started a 30 day yoga challenge. I know I have been meaning to try it for almost a year now, but I'll be on day four tomorrow. I must say I like it. It's only 20 minutes and fairly beginner, and I do it in the comfort of my own home. I figure even if it is the wussy beginner version, I will only be better off a month from now. It certainly can't make my muscles any stiffer.
So that's that. I always said that when I moved out I wanted to lose 15 pounds, as a freshman, instead of gaining. I'm about a third of the way since I moved here a few weeks ago.
Everything is coming along. I'm making the body I always wanted.
